Regarding the #MeToo accounts: Do you know the amount of fear and shame that must possess ALL THESE VICTIMS that they need a platform and a safe space to share their stories?

Platforms which eventually get taken down by predators and apologists too.

These victims have to settle for an anonymous message as the closest thing to actually confronting their abusers let alone holding them accountable.

You coming here saying they should provide evidence and/or they should disclose their identity is truly ignorant and tone-deaf.

If you LISTEN. If you take the time to read. You would know that's not an option for majority of these people.

This society has failed to protect girls, boys, men and women from predators. It failed victims who spoke out. The system failed them too.

Barely any of the traditional methods have ever worked in serving justice to the victims of sexual harrassement.

While you're so pressed about people's reputations, you're dismissing the trauma and lives ruined.

Not one third of the *known* predators suffered for their actions. So don't talk to me about *reputation* and ruining lives. That's not the life I'm concerned about.

Of course there's room for false allegations but do the numbers even stand against the numbers of TRUE allegations? No they absolutely don't.

I wish if allegations ruined the lives of their predators but they don't. They go on to living their lives unfazed.

The least we can do, I am talking the bare minimum of the bare minimum, is to LISTEN and acknowledge rather than discredit and disregard victims!

Stop perpetuating the cycle of victim-blaming and reinforcing rhetorics and systems built to serve some and devour others!
