I'm glad these corporations are going in on the name, both bc the name needs to change and bc this tells us that the system feels vulnerable right now. Everybody who benefits from the racist, violent status quo is trying to buy their way out being seen as part of the problem.

They're willing to pay a little more than usual because they are terrified.

I'm talking about state and corporate entities, not individuals ftr. Because it's not just the people in the streets that scare these various entities. It's also other people who think it maybe was fair that some buildings burned. The powerful are trying to buy those people back.

I'm not saying such wins shouldn't be celebrated. Most of the wins we've seen come from sustained organizing that should be celebrated, as should the energy of this moment. Just saying, do not stop attacking the status quo. Bc the status quo is trying to placate and subsume us.
