Canadian authorities ensured they had a diverse regime of exclusion. Part of their efforts was ensuring the forestalling of African-Americans fleeing Jim Crow & seeking freedom and better lives in . Basically Trumps ‘wall’ but in and a system to keep out Black folks.

3. We had school segregation here, we had racial restrictive covenants. Before Rosa Parks we had Viola Desmond. She preceded Rosa Parks in her stance to not give up her seat in public space 9 years before elder Parks.
4. We have a history & current presence of the KKK & alt-right

6. Black and Indigenous people are murdered everyday by police and systemic racism in Canada. Read Policing Black Lives by @policingblack
