I know it’s completely outrageous that the government wasted the three months that the majority of Americans stayed home to flatten the curve.

But we can’t give up. We can’t say we tried it once, we‘re doomed so we might as well live it up. That leads to more harm.
In the absence of political leadership, our own actions and community leadership matter even more.

We can pull together to protect each other by wearing masks and social distancing and we can pressure leaders to enact public health measures and get their act together.
Giving up is a privilege and it means that you are ok with putting marginalized communities at continued risk as long as you personally think you are ok. That’s unacceptable.
We are not powerless here. Every action counts, every second counts. We can get through this but only if we care enough to keep working together to protect each other. Let’s do this! 💪😷
