The question is whether Mercedes capitulate in the negotiations & agree to Hamilton’s financial demands, at a time when restrictions on team budgets comes in to affect, for fear of being accused of institutional racism, Hitler drove a Mercedes don’t you know, should they decide..

to look elsewhere in a drivers market that is brim full of talent & the temptation to go for Max must be immense with a Ferrari seat to about to become vacant with Seb exiting side left & would be competition for Max’s signature.

This all puts Mercedes in quite a bind & the loser in this situation will ironically be the white, blonde & blue eyed teammate Bottas who will lose his drive no matter what agreement, on not, that Mercedes reach with Hamilton.

It is said that a walk down the pit lane is much like swimming with the sharks and it looks like Mercedes just got their hand bit by patting the nose of their 6 time world champion who they have supported financially since childhood in his rapid rise through the ranks. Ruthless.

A Prediction; Mercedes will agree a 2yr contract with Hamilton at £40m+ per season. They have no other choice, again Hitler used to drive a Mercedes you know, given the current racial optics commercially should they decide on brand suicide as a good strategy going forward.

Bad news for Bottas, he’s out & will struggle to find a drive at either Ferrari or Redbull. Good guy that he is I’m sorry to say Bottas blew his chance & will be consigned to the graveyard that is reserved for former Hamilton teammates. Say hi to Heiki for us when you see him.

Mercedes will go for broke & sign Max, they will made to pay more because Ferrari will offer the moon but at this stage of his career Max want to win & clearly feels his best chance is to be in the same car as Hamilton, who he thinks he has the measure of anyway.

For Mercedes signing Max serves two purposes; 1. He’s most definitely the future & if the car continues to dominate will break whatever records Hamilton will set, remember thinking Schumacher’s records would never be broken too.

2. It allows Mercedes to kill Hamilton’s F1 dominance softly by giving Max equal treatment in public, but behind closed doors giving him whatever he needs to not just beat Hamilton, but to get in his head like Hamilton did to Alonso when he arrived at McLaren & he never recovered

By the end of his two year £40m+ per season contract Hamilton’s reputation on track will have been overshadowed by Max’s dominance & importantly the image will go into free fall as his mind will go into overdrive about conspiracy theories about favouritism for Max by the team.

Only trouble will be that it is a hard argument to make when you may not be winning but keep coming 2nd to your faster team mate, make no mistake Mercedes will give them both the same car but will look to Max in terms of future car development to favour him & him only.

So in conclusion I think that Hamilton has played himself here & it is downhill from here. I took Hamilton as I found him & couldn’t care less if he is black, I just loved his competitiveness, his pure speed & his genuine joy on the podium.

The next few seasons are going to be something as Max & Hamilton participate in their own personal Mercedes world championship & the action is going to be dynamite both on & off the track as the mind games ensue. I know who I will be willing on... Orange is still ok though right?
