(1/8) A thread about what's happening with COVID-19 in Stanislaus County:
(2/8) Due to Stanislaus County government officials' lack of leadership in informing and enforcing face-covering/social distancing practices/COVID testing, we have seen a spike in confirmed COVID-19 cases and deaths
(3/8) The State of California has now stepped in to indefinitely close all indoor operations, including restaurants, wineries, family entertainment centers, zoos, museums, and movie theatres
(4/8) Communities of Color and low-income families are being forced to risk their health and safety to make ends meet and be the band-aid to our hemorrhaging local economy during this time of crisis
(5/8) Business owners are having to make tough decisions on if it's worth the risk to enforce physical distancing policies or allow customers to make their own choice just to keep their doors open
(6/8) We must do our part to keep our communities safe! We need to pressure businesses/organizations to enforce face-covering/physical distancing practices. We need to educate our communities about the risks of not taking precautions
(7/8) We must share resources to benefit others’ health, their businesses, where to get tested, and provide that peace of mind for our community. We must do our part and keep the community we love protected during these challenging times. We must do better
