TIME TO GO TO THE LAND OF WABASH CANNONBALL AND THE GREATEST COACHING HIRE OF ALL TIME.
IT'S KANSAS STATE DAY.
IT'S KANSAS STATE DAY.
The last few years of the Snyder era were a bit of a drunken wobble, but Klieman's first year in charge was quite solid (even if they faded late).
The O was the primary reason for K-State's late-2019 slide -- ran out of tricks (and healthy bodies in the skill corps). But a TON of skill guys got reps, and Skylar Thompson's back for a 19th year. OL gets rebuilt, though.
Really strange defensive year for K-State. A bit of a sieve on 1st/2nd down, but if they forced 3rd, a) it was 3rd-and-long, and b) they capitalized. LBs & DBs are exciting this year, but as with the O, the line is rebuilding.
2 rebuilt lines + 6 top-40 opponents = probably no second-year leap for K-State. But I like what I've seen from Klieman, and I like what he's probably gonna build.
K-State's SP+ history. The 14 best KSU teams of all time have played in the last 30 years. Bill Snyder was impossible.
yeah sorry about that https://twitter.com/oscarwildecat1/status/1278762650818752523?s=20
