Saying "be nice to each other" and posting hotline numbers is NOT enough.

Mental illness crisis de-escalation training should be free and uitilized by every streamer.
You all have good intentions. But you also constantly pass on LIFESAVING conversations because you "aren't a professional" and they make you uncomfortable.

Therapy is not a solution for someone at immediate risk. A crisis hotline doesn't stop suicide indefinitely.
People who suffer need all kinds of resources long-term & short

They also need to feel like their pain MATTERS - so they feel like THEY do. They need time to express themselves before you pass the baton to some1 they have 0 connection with. Don't just "be nice". LISTEN &VALIDATE
This is not meant to be the only resource for help. It would be irresponsible if it were. It is just an *additional* resource for those in specific situations that require it.

Places like @heartsupport do this ethically. Having more resources like them would be great.
I was not expecting this but today actually ended up becoming incredibly triggering for me. I am having a panic attack and feel like I'm dying. I'm sorry but I have to mute this & stay off social for a bit. I hope we all take more care of each other. Goodnight pls choose love
