Something small I've noticed over the years...people often call childhood abuse victims "broken for life" or "irreparably damaged" and we gotta stop that.

We can acknowledge the severity of the trauma without implying survivors are inherently broken.
Chances are an adult survivor of childhood trauma survivor is listening/reading/watching when it's said.

Imagine how it makes them feel.

Is that what you think about all victims? Does it impact how you interact with survivors? Why? How?
Trauma can be healed. We can mitigate its harms. We can stop its chronic exacerbation.

One way of doing that: stop calling victims forever broken.

Every life has wounds. We can work together and help then heal into fading scars.
