It's hard to think of a more hateful and racist argument than 'It's not genocide because "so many damn blacks" survived' and any publication, channel or organisation that gives Starkey a platform to say this kind of thing is a disgrace.
This has now gone viral enough that its being quote tweeted by blue tick journos like James Ball, whose job it is to spread contemporary imperialist propaganda (that is often racist). They feign outrage about the past violence of imperialism while justifying it in the present.
Also, anyone who gives the vile little reactionary @darrengrimes_ a platform is absolutely complicit in Starkey's hateful racism (with which Darren clearly agrees).
As repulsive as Starkey is, anyone who thinks Boris Johnson & the rest of the people who rule this country don't think in a very similar way to him on these issues are sorely mistaken. It's also not just a generation/age issue either, the presenter Darren Grimes is 26 years old.

It is quite amusing that people in my mentions are saying Starkey should be stripped of his CBE (i.e. Commander of the British Empire) for this - CBEs are given for these kind of attitudes, not taken away because of them!
