Is it just me that has this experience, or is windows audio just always always always a hot mess? The number of devices I end up with is not the same as the devices I have or are actually connected. Getting my system to output to *all* my speakers is basically impossible
Audio in VR is always the most screwy buggy thing, despite the fact that VR is solving a lot of REALLY HARD PROBLEMS computationally speaking, we still struggle to get the input and output working properly in every situation.
I spent about 3 hours yesterday just trying to get my speakers working the way I wanted to. A combination of manufacturer websites being terrible, and then the windows store just NOT WORKING to download a recommended tool, like, these should be solved problems.
And I know it& #39;s complex and hard to support an essentially infinite configuration of machines + software + audio hardware, but even simple tools to accurately test what& #39;s going on and help troubleshoot would be great.
There& #39;s no real point to this thread except venting really, and I& #39;m sure at some point I& #39;ll have the energy to throw myself at this problem again but right now I& #39;m done with it.
