Today, I closed indoor service at bars throughout most of lower Michigan to protect the progress our state has made against COVID-19. I also signed bills that will allow cocktails-to-go at bars & restaurants to help these businesses serve more Michiganders.

After recent COVID-19 outbreaks tied to bars, we had to take action to slow the spread & keep people safe. If we want to be in a strong position to reopen schools for this fall, we must take aggressive action now to ensure we don’t wipe out all the progress we have made.
