Meanwhile I’m watching Black organizers and activists around me getting singled out and attacked...

So when folx march, I hope it’s for justice for more than Black folx killed by police...I hope its for these Black organizers & activists too.

I hope y’all are marching for those Black folx who are being evicted, who are disproportionately disciplined in school, who can’t walk down the street w/o worrying about White neighbors calling the cops, and who are being pushed out of homes by gentrifiers. That’s violence too.

If you’re a White person and my tweets are hitting too close to home, if you feel like I’m touching on issues in this thread that make you uncomfortable—GOOD!

Violence looks like a lot of things and removing monuments won’t remove that from our neighborhoods.
