Already protestors are attempting to force this issue and demanding the deletion of news photos from public protests. Shame on the NPPA.

The NPPA is backing a position that challenges the basic concept of right of privacy versus first amendment rights.

I understand that the “toolkit” is supposed 2b a suggestion, but it’s attached to the PBoR. It is being used to impact adversely how PJ’s work—it’s a public document & it, & others like it, are being quoted, cited & literally shoved in the faces of working photojournalists.

Not only does the “toolkit” increase the speed of travel down the slippery slope relative2the ability of the media2fairly & fully fulfill their responsibility 2report the news, but it fosters an environment that causes individual “lens based workers” 2b in physical jeopardy.
