I excitingly went to my local (London) @McDonaldsUK for the first time since it’s re-opening after COVID-19 lockdown.
My experience has been very disappointing. As loyal customer I feel dissatisfied & hurt.
The following tweet thread will explain reasons why:
My experience has been very disappointing. As loyal customer I feel dissatisfied & hurt.
The following tweet thread will explain reasons why:
1. Outside a sign says “Please wait outside before you’re called in”. A co-worker told me & my friends of by saying “why are you guys standing outside? Can’t you see it’s empty?”
We were shocked.
We were shocked.
2. After ordering, I showed my student ID for my free cheeseburger, the manager said “no, we don’t do that”, I followed up asking “why”. I get a reply “because Corona, don’t you know”
3. I asked inspected the kitchen, and saw they made 5-6 batches of fries pre-hand. So, I asked for a fresh batch. They co-worker told me “they are all fresh”. I’ve worked for McDonald’s in the past, and when a customers asked for “fresh batch” means we make another batch.
All our fries were soo cold, and really disappointing.
4. We went outside to wait, because we didn’t want to be in a confined space. After 5 mins the co-worker said “what are you guys doing outside, I told you to wait inside”. This is the 2nd time we felt attacked by rude behaviour.
5. Once we received out orders,
They only put 2 straws when we ordered 4 drinks. I told them I don’t want “ice” but all drinks had ice.
No tissues, not even 1. No salt, or any sauces. They didn’t even offer.
We assume to have had tissues & straws as primary. BUT I guess...

..that’s not the case.
6. OVER-ALL when we had our meals, we were talking about how poorly we were treated and how disappointing the food quality was. BAD EXPERIENCE. WORST EVER.
