This thread also includes a personal experience of my struggle with my body.

So I was scrolling through my tl and a friend was speaking about how this thread was harmful and wrong how they were bashing tiktokers who don’t have a body type. Which is why I’m going to say that my account is a safe place regardless of body type, sexuality, race, gender, etc.

I’m not saying that you can’t be entitled to your own opinion but just know the consequences of saying such harmful words can leave someone with that nightmare for years and could lead someone to end it all.

𝙼𝚢 𝚏𝚒𝚛𝚜𝚝 𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚎𝚡𝚙𝚎𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚎 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚋𝚘𝚍𝚢 𝚜𝚑𝚊𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚐: Growing up i was slightly overweight and you can tell that I was by how different from the other kids. I got excluded from things but overall they were nice but you can tell that they were still

judgy. I used to get called names ever since kindergarten (going to 8th now) and to make matters worse I was tongue tied. The kids will always make fun of my body and voice. At such a young age I learned how to control my emotions and hide how I actually felt. I remember crying

in the restroom silently. My 5th grade year I finally got tired of it and I started to gain an eating disorder where I would eat once or sometimes not at all per day. The sad thing is that my family never noticed what I was doing until afterwards I ended up losing about 10 pounds

just before 6th grade and everyone started to have a crush on me when I had a ‘glow up’ and wanted to be my friend (I had at most 10 but all the younger kids thought I was so happy and nice I was nice but happy not so much). I became happier and realized that most of the toxic

people were just at my elementary. In my town there were 3 elementaries and 1 middle.

Over time I noticed that weight didn’t matter. Those people that I became friends with from other schools (some of my own) didn’t care about my past heck they didn’t even know what happened and weight was just a number. They were still nice to me, I had a friend who who was just

like me but she didn’t change, she still had many friends. Still to this day she is my role model for being confident after everything that she’s been through. She told me that it wasn’t always like that and it took her a while to learn how to be that way.

All I’m trying to say is that words can hurt. Everyone has faced battles and come back even stronger than before. To this day I wish I didn’t change myself to fit in with society and done it for myself. All of you are beautiful, loved, and cared for !! Society needs to change and

notice that not everyone is going to be the same that’s why we have different shapes and sizes because you’re not supposed to. Unfortunately, we still live in a world where everyone should be skinny when you dont have to. EVERYONE IS BEAUTIFUL IN THEIR OWN WAY REGARDLESS OF WHAT
