Since cis women think they are immune from being clocked, here is a thread on cis women with uteruses who’ve received transphobia over the years. I’m going to make myself very clear since I know a lot of you are going to suddenly act like I’m speaking a foreign language.
I’m going to break this into two segments. The first will be cis women with uteruses and vaginas that they received at birth who’ve faced transphobia.
I’m going to start this off with Patti Labelle because her strong features, dramatic drag like style, and big gay following has caused her to receive transphobic remarks. Someone today who doesn’t know who she is could be told she’s trans and they’d agree. That’s how easy it is.
Ok next I want to talk about Xscape. Their rough tomboy image was curated by Jermaine Dupri so that people would focus on their vocals. This backfired and they quickly started glamming it up due to heavy criticism. Biggie Smalls said he’d fuck RuPaul before he’d fuck any of them.
Latocha Scott has received transphobia due to her size, complexion, and features. Having been compared looks wise to Bernie Mac
A rumor back in the day circulated that Toni Braxton was a hermaphrodite. Her facial features and voice will be what plays into that. Her features and voice are the most beautiful things about her. Rapist Kelly went as far as saying she won’t make it because she sounds like a man
Janet has been met with transphobia mainly from the stan community. The term “Tranet” was created by black gay stans on a forum called BGCLive. Her features, cosmetic work, and makeup at times will be what plays into that.
That same forum also coined the term “Trandy” for Brandy.
Ciara has faced quite a bit of transphobia. When she first came on the scene, it was heavily rumored that she was a man. I, personally, never saw what they saw. However, her new style and the facial feminization work she’s had done is a bit of a clock ironically now.
Jackie-O is a rapper who received transphobic disses from Khia. Khia called her trans and a drag queen.
Olivia, who was once signed with G-Unit, faced transphobia from former labelmate, The Game. The Game stated in an interview that she was a man and that he’s seen her penis in the bathroom. Olivia is beautiful and striking which can end up being a combo that could still clock you.
Nicci Gilbert, lead singer of Brownstone, got into it with castmate Syleena Johnson and was called a man due to her height, build, and strong facial features.
Joseline Hernandez has faced transphobia over the years
Lady Gaga faced transphobia when she first came on the scene due to her strong facial features, big gay following, and style. It was heavily rumored that she was a man.
Khloe has also faced transphobia over the years due to her size and facial features.
Miss D from Bring It has also faced transphobia due to her facial features.
Nene Leakes has faced a lot of transphobia over the years due to her height, build, strong facial features, and flamboyant personality. Sheree Whitfield has also faced transphobia due to her facial features. TV guide purposely compared Sheree to late drag queen Sahara Davenport.
Wendy Williams has faced a lot of transphobia due to her height, build, cosmetic work, and flamboyant personality. Because she pisses so many people off, transphobia is the first thing people usually use to clap back at her.
Tiffany “New York” Pollard, Sister Patterson, Deelishis, and Hottie faced transphobia on Flavor of Love. Tiffany called Deelishis and Hottie men. Various cast members, including Deelishis, have called Tiffany and Sister Patterson men as well.
Lil Mama has had most of her career be overshadowed by the fact she looks like Lil Bow Wow. Her strong facial features will play into that. Ironically as a child, Lil Bow Wow was mistaken for a girl.
Dua Lipa has faced transphobia due to her androgynous features. Mainly because of the comparisons to James Charles. James even went as far as to dress up like her.
Megan Thee Stallion has faced a lot of transphobia as well due to her height, build, facial features, and demeanor. I know this one is going to bring skepticism so I made sure to post receipts with it. So if this one makes anyone feel a way, go tell them about it, not me.
Remy Ma has faced a lot of transphobia due to her height, build, demeanor, rap style, and voice. Her complexion plays a part too as dark skinned women are since as more masc. The bulk of this has come from another female rapper’s fan base, who are notorious for their transphobia.
While I’m on the topic of dark skinned women, I want to mention Leslie Jones. Her complexion & strong facial features are things that black women like her especially get masculinzed and dehumanized over. She is very beautiful and isn’t clocky. Women like her are insulted the most
Michelle Obama has faced transphobia for her strong facial features and toned body. Republicans have consistently masculinzed and dehumanized her since she became First Lady. They have convinced so many idiots that she was born a man.
Serena and Venus have faced a lot of transphobia for their complexions, features, & toned bodies. Serena in my opinion has been the cis woman who’s faced the most transphobia out of any cis woman. White tennis fans have vitriol towards her because she’s rain a train on tennis.
This next segment is short but I want to shed light on cis women with uteruses who’s features have been clocky enough for them to be asked to play roles of trans women.
Veronica Redd played a trans woman on The Jefferson’s
Tyra Banks played a trans woman on All Of Us
Sheryl Lee Ralph played a trans woman on Barbershop: The Series
Kerry Washington played a trans woman in a movie called “Life Is Hot In Cracktown”
Famke Janssen played a trans woman on Nip Tuck. Ironically on Nip Tuck they also had a trans woman named Candis Cayne play a cis woman who was transitioning into a man
Rebecca Romijn played a trans woman on Ugly Betty.
