GOOD NEWS: a court has just *vacated, effective immediately* the 2019 asylum ban - which unlawfully prevents people who’ve transited through any 3rd country from seeking asylum in the US.

This is the second decision to conclude the ban is unlawful. In the first, a preliminary injunction was issued and quickly stayed by SCOTUS. Here, the court concluded its summary judgment decision could go into effect immediately - it’s not bound by SCOTUS’s unreasoned stay.

Great language in here calling into question Trump’s aggressive use of interim final rules without good cause (which will be critical to unwinding much of its aggressive, unlawful rule-making).
