I don’t know who needs to hear this but adopting Black kids doesn’t make you not racist.
If you’re white, an adoptive parent of Black children (or thinking about adopting Black children) and are offended by me saying that just because you are doesn’t make you not racist, this tweet is your hand mirror. Don’t put it down until it unfogs and you can see.
“Adoptive parents often say ‘I love her like my own.’ Perhaps you do. But this is not about you [...] This is about us. You must celebrate what about us differs from you, and acknowledge that we are not of you, we are of others.”

Another clue that you’re racist adoptive parents of Black children: teaching them to be “the good ones.”
Another hopefully helpful hint. Your mixed kids? They’re Black. Regardless of their mixed heritage or how the census counts them, white America will always see them as Black.
