Today was my last day at Uproxx! I start somewhere else in July (you'll find out when my first piece of them is up) and to close the book on this period of my life I'm going to do a thread of some of my favorite things I wrote over about 2.5 years at With Spandex:
But first of all, what I tweeted about a week ago is still true and I can't really say anything about what's going on there for... some amount of time! I don't know how much time! But there's a company statement out now: https://uproxx.com/prowrestling/with-spandex-announcement/
Some things I wrote for Uproxx I'm very proud of because they could qualify as "very obscure" and/or "very dumb," such as Bone Soldier speculation https://uproxx.com/prowrestling/njpw-bullet-club-bone-soldier-speculation/, wrestler baby fights https://uproxx.com/prowrestling/daniel-bryan-the-miz-feud-babies/, and Kenta's improv romance https://uproxx.com/prowrestling/wrestling-romance-of-the-year-kenta-njpw-world-camera-operator/
The list of people I interviewed for Uproxx includes Chris Jericho, Sasha Banks, Ken Shamrock, Big Swole, Harold Meij, Becky Lynch, Yujiro Takahashi, etc. They were all cool experiences, but my two favorites looking back might be this one with Nick Gage https://uproxx.com/prowrestling/nick-gage-uproxx-interview-2019/
this thread is too long but I also want to include this profile I did on Darby Allin because I remember being happy with the writing AND that I actually got to do something on-site in Seattle, where I used to live https://uproxx.com/prowrestling/aew-darby-allin-interview-2019/
