I’m finding it really hard to put into words what minor league baseball means to me. I think mostly because it means so much. Most importantly, it’s helped me encourage an entire new generation of children to love baseball the same way I do...

...there’s nothing like taking a class of children to an @OMAStormChasers game and seeing the joy on their faces when Bubba turns around and waves at them when they cheer for him. Or the smiles I see when the bullpen guys toss them gum (after they ask nicely of course).

When kids mishear the chants and they say “Cori, did they say George or charge?” And I’m like “we’re a Royals team, kid. It could be either.”

I met one of my favorite people in this world bevause of minor league baseball.. You’d be hard pressed to find a better person in this world than @minda33

Baseball as a whole has always been and will always be my favorite thing in this world. But minor leagues... that’s something special, my friend. It’s indescribable. It’s a whole experience.

And if you’ve never had the privilege to experience minor league baseball, I strongly encourage you to check out your local team next year when they’re back. I promise you’ll have a blast.
