On the Washington County testing front:
@NicoleClowneyAR released results from her survey on barriers to testing in Washington County. Read the results on her FB page, linked below.
https://www.facebook.com/305228/posts/10102871514603514/?d=n
Her summary below:
"3 common barriers emerged from the results:
- People who are asymptomatic or didn’t have contact with a known positive are being turned away;
- People don’t know where to go or how much it will cost when they get there;
- Results take too long to get back.
What can we do about this? I suggested three places to start. 1) A clear information campaign about where Washington County residents can go for a free test; 2) A quicker turnaround time and better communication on test results; 3) More ADH testing drives."
Thank you to Rep. Clowney for digging in on this - identifying barriers and coming up with solutions.

We'll all be watching to ensure Washington County residents achieve testing levels equitable with the rest of the state.
Washington isn't alone in being under-served when it comes to testing. Yell and Sevier also have consistently high percent positive rates.
All Arkansans deserve testing that is free and easy to access, no matter where they live, what they look like, or what language they speak.
