"I live in Seattle, so I make jokes about police brutality to help cope with being surrounded by police brutality."
I get it. Times are tough. Normally, I& #39;m not one to tell people how to cope, but this one really struck a nerve.

I live in Eagan, MN. A suburb of the Twin Cities of Minnesota, less than 20 minutes away from where George Floyd was murdered. A good portion of my social circle lives in either St. Paul or Minneapolis. A good portion participated in the protests.
For the first 2 weeks of the protests, I got about 2 hours of sleep a night. I was monitoring police scanners, watching livestreams, and communicating with people at the protests to the best of my ability. I wasn& #39;t sure if I& #39;d see some of my friends again.
TW: Suicide
A relative of mine committed suicide due to fear caused by the George Floyd murder. We weren& #39;t the closest, but losing a family member to the side effects of police brutality is fucking horrific.

So yeah. Not a fan of the take that inspired this "apology". Even less of a fan of the apology. Both are some real "ambien tweeting" level bullshit. Neither of these should& #39;ve left the drafts, let alone made it to the keyboard.
Be better.
