1. During the 1st great missional advancement of the church, two people chose to lie in church about their offering & got stopped what he was doing to deal with the sin entering His Church.

How much more should churches & denominations be willing to halt to take care of abuse?

2. There are churches & entire denominations that are simply spreading contamination around the world b/c they will not halt outward work and focus on the desperate inner work that is needed to be a healthy & safe environment for God’s people to abound & flourishing in.

3. Churches & denominations that have abuse problems need to stop missions. They need to reallocate their mission funds to caring for victims of abuse within their walls. ONLY once they’ve dealt w/ internal toxicity & have cared for their existing members should they go back out.

4. But what about hell? People are dying, why can’t we do both?

God is sovereign & he does not need any specific church or denomination to accomplish his purposes. Also, the greatest obstacle to the gospel’s credibility is hypocrisy & toxic soil can’t produce healthy fruit.
