Something that we need to talk about in the wake of white people discovering racism is them no longer wanting to review social justice books because they’re "listening," and asking Black people to handle that responsibility and Black people, naturally, experiencing burnout.
I also should add that this isn't a subtweet, but a phenomenon I've noticed recently. Expecting Black people to perform even more emotional labor than they already do because you're afraid to make a mistake isn't a good look.
Also, not every Black person wants to read books about race or racism, and assuming that they do says more about you than them.
