Many people in the women's sports space work so hard & have for decades. Coverage, investment, etc.

But we HAVE to stop with the breadcrumbs mentality of "we're just happy to be here" or thankful for the leftovers

Women's sports = an incredible product. We need to think bigger.
This means we are done being happy with piecemeal progress. A little improvement there. Or a little there.

No.

Women's sports deserve investment & coverage to the highest degree. It's actually a poor business decision to approach women's sports with a slow, progressive model
It means respecting the shoulders we stand on today, the work of so many to get us here.

But not continuing with the norm.

Thinking differently. Thinking bigger. And treating women's sports as something with a return on investment. Because it is.
This also means pushing back and negotiating and advocating for women's sports from a staunch business perspective.

It means new sales approaches and marketing approaches.

Bottom line: we are not just happy to be here. We've been here and produced. Now let's change it up.
Also, if you're model or approach to women's sports as a ROI business doesn't involve Black women as head of everything, expect to fail.

The norm is white men and women as gatekeepers. That ain't it. Time for change.
