PS/ I'm glad this scandal broke through. Not sure why the scandal that led to 200 US soldiers with TBIs in Iraq didn't break through, or the genocide of the Kurds that Trump green-lit, or the trade war he saddled US farmers with so he could get Trump Org trademarks from Beijing.

PS2/ I'm also not sure why Trump green-lighting Israeli interference in the 2016 election didn't break through as a scandal, or Trump trying to execute a takeover of the Ukrainian LNG industry to please foreign donors hoping to launder money into Trump's 2020 reelection campaign.

PS3/ This scandal is as bad as anything you could ever imagine *any* POTUS *besides* Trump doing—but is it the worst thing *Trump* has done? No. Yet we've given up on holding Trump to account for *any* of it. Why? Because we've accepted that GOP officials are disloyal to America.

PS4/ As patriotic Trump critics call out his inaction in the face of Putin's murder plot, I hope *all* of us will remember that the number of Trump scandals warranting impeachment exceeds twenty-five. This scandal just *happens* to have captured even more Americans' imaginations.

PS5/ The Democratic Party is profoundly flawed—but it can improve. The Republican Party has now *disqualified itself* from leadership for the next two generations at least. All we can do now to commit ourselves to driving elected officials from this disloyal entity out of office.

PS6/ When Trump is gone, we will need to be a reconciliation process to deal with those elected GOP officials who gave aid and comfort to our enemies, violated their duties to warn, committed criminal acts of obstruction, and put our entire nation under a *grave* state of threat.

PS7/ Presidential nominees will have to fully divest. Nominees will need to reveal *all* tax returns. Intel-gathering and public health entities will have to be aggressively depoliticized. Once-redacted reports will have to be unredacted and made public. A *lot* needs to be done.

PS8/ So I'm happy that, on occasion, America writ large decides to care about things like a POTUS *hiding a plot to kill U.S. soldiers*—that's great. But *every Trump scandal* America ignored *should've* been the last straw.

The clean-up from this administration will take years.
