Ok so I went on IG live to talk about my natural hair struggles but a bunch of niggas showed up. If I do a periscope, ladies and natural haired kings, do y’all wanna hear it?
Mmk I gave y’all a solid ten minutes to respond lol I really didn’t feel like typing this shit out but I wanted to save another natural from ruining their hair during the quarantine.

Basically since the quarantine I’ve been being a “lazy natural” and keeping my hair in either two braids to the back or in “space buns”, partly cuz of ease and partly to wear wigs for shoots, etc.
Anywho, since my edges did not make it into 2020 with me, I figured the less manipulation the better and BOY. I. Was. Wrong.
At first I just kept using Jamaican black castor oil like all the bald headed hoes told me and the perimeter of my face KEPT breaking out. Now I understand that oil does not moisturize, so I just kept spraying a watered down conditioner on it before bed. Left my braids alone.
Obviously once I did unbraid my hair I had some expected shedding but my hair stayed dry. Last time I complained about this on twitter, one of y’all suggested that I may just need a trim. It worked last time but since we’re “in quarantine” I decided... to DIY.
Did some little baby trims with hair scissors after I blew my hair out. Cool right? Then I decided to trim my baby bro’s hair and realized that I did not trim enough on my own hair cuz, duh, it’s still dry.
SO I decided to try it AGAIN after my next wash and was about to flat iron it. (Yes, during a GA summer). Combed through, looked thru the ends, snip. Starting with the back of my head.
And basically
So I stopped before I fucked up my whole head and just accepted the L. You can’t tell when it’s curly anyway.
This thread is super long and I’m really only documenting this for my own purposes but long story short, I woke up this morning and decided to a clarifying shampoo and it made a WORLD of difference. It felt stripped and clean.
