Practising being publicly ignorant because truthfully I didn’t even know this existed until today. ...isn’t demisexual just... regular sexual? Like, I genuinely don’t understand what the difference is and I have spent the last 45 minutes reading & watching interviews about it.

The concept is that you’re attracted to people after you have formed an emotional bond with them, but... isn’t that just how relationships are formed? Is it really it’s own category of Pride? I am not trying to invalidate — I am just baffled.

Someone said that people have invalidated them their whole life and they’re finally “coming out”, and I think that’s what’s triggered my expert level confusion. Coming out as what? As someone who requires depth in sexual relationships? Isn’t that almost everyone though?
