Early in the pandemic we noticed that some countries responded very successfully to the #COVID19 pandemic.

We teamed up with colleagues around the world and studied 3 countries in depth – to learn how they were so much more succesful.

After months of work, this is now out!
👇
Germany is one of the European countries that stands out.

Colleagues from the Robert Koch Institute – Lothar Wieler and Ute Rexroth – and René Gottschalk studied what Germany got right and what we can learn from it: https://ourworldindata.org/covid-exemplar-germany
We picked these 3 countries more than three months ago.

I'm happy to see that the countries that we decided on back then are countries that still stand out today.
We hope the lessons from these 3 Exemplar countries help others to respond well too.
