Anything? She said "no you didn't" so I asked why do we have to leave? She told us a few weeks before in a different pub, in a different part of Cardiff, there was an argument involving Travellers and settled people. Some property was damaged in the ensuing melee, caused by both

Parties. She told us that We "would get drunk and do the same"I was shocked and dismayed she would say that, and our settled friends were too. They explained our group were always quiet and never caused trouble, which she also admitted was true. She still told us we "had to leave

After explaining that we had no idea of the trouble she was talking about (she said she knows it wasn't us) she said we still had to leave as she didn't want us in her pub. We explained what she was doing was stereotypical racism and she still told us to leave. We left quietly

And after that event, I've never been back as we wouldn't be allowed entry "Just in case we do something" before we left I mentioned that the argument in the other establishment involved settled people also so why hasn't she threw everyone else out?

She wouldn't answer and stared straight ahead. We left quietly and to this day It's on my mind how she blatantly, in front of everybody, accused us of something we had no part in and without a shred of proof. It's disgusting racism. I just thought I'd share this story with

Everyone, so people can get a sense of what happens when a Traveller enters a pub. Racism isn't just aimed at people of colour. We are racially stereotyped and abused everytime we go somewhere. The thing is, I can now share my stories and hope for acceptance for us all
