* York Minster says it has received no complaints.
* I wonder if @Policy_Exchange inquiry - worried about "culture war" polarisation - will look at the incentives to create high-profile stories of "PC gone mad" threats re calls for change that nobody actually appears to be making https://twitter.com/Telegraph/status/1277883268801671168
Welsh Assembly member Neil Hamilton states that it is "pathetic" for these (imaginary) complainants to have been "triggered" by a statue.

"Imagine being so fragile" he writes, imagining the state of mind of these imaginary complainants.
If the Telegraph scoured the country, maybe they could come up with an academic somewhere willing to put in this complaint that they wish to decry as PC gone mad.

Or perhaps they could sponsor a student Marxist group willing to enter into a symbiotic "culture war" relationship?

I have tweeted the half dozen people with the most widely shared tweets - to see if any of them can help us all to identify somebody who has called for the removal of the statue. (There would then be somebody for them to argue with about this) https://twitter.com/sundersays/status/1278084084326191104

But the search continues! https://twitter.com/holland_tom/status/1278088654490042369
I've asked Andrew Doyle if he can help identify the source of 'these demands'. He says 'progressive activists' are making them, so perhaps he will be able to find one who is. (Otherwise maybe his satirical alter ego can fill the gap and pretend to do it) https://twitter.com/andrewdoyle_com/status/1278099388158615552
Telegraph journalist tweets York Minster said there were complaints, before on record "no complaints" response

Though its not in the York Minister quote in the report.

I've had no luck if finding any actual call to remove the statue from anyone at all. https://twitter.com/GabriellaSwerl/status/1278256896345018369
I mistakenly said the Constantine statue dates to 1988.

It was put up in 1998 https://twitter.com/MFestenstein/status/1278273157275758592
"The plot thickens" says Andrew Doyle to his 100k followers, having said there is "apparently" a threat to this statue, when nobody can find the source of any threat.

This does seem a pretty thick plot to me https://twitter.com/andrewdoyle_com/status/1278306670574264320
'Another day, another infuriating news story about a well-loved statue being considered for removal because someone, somewhere has claimed to be offended by it' writes James Delingpole on Breitbart - but with an interesting (constructive) twist in the piece.
Delingpole thinks it is a mistake for the Telegraph and Mail to "amplify" this story - worrying that this gives the "oxygen of publicity" to unrepresentative activists.

This point is strengthened by this report appearing to "amplify" voices who don't even seem to exist at all!
In a dramatic *plot twist* my search has finally now *found* one tweeter (Liberal Despot) who called for Constantine to go, in a tweet on June 7th, retweeted by 5 people and liked by 10 more. I am not quite sure if this was intended seriously or satirically, but I have asked.
A somewhat Delphic reply - but it seems possible that this may not be the most serious of 'Constantine Must Fall' calls. However, I am currently in want of any others. https://twitter.com/LiberalDespot/status/1278409201694449669
