A Thread For You Unmasked Avengers: this photo was taken YEARS ago. It shows a simple surgical mask. We, Surgeons/Anesthesiologists/Operating Room Nurse’s, wear these masks ALL DAY, sometimes 5-10hrs straight, for EVERY SURGERY that we perform in order to keep infection risk low.

In 12 years since graduating medical school of wearing these masks, I haven’t passed out. My oxygen level has stayed the same, no carbon dioxide poisoning, & in a room filled w/ splatterings of blood & infected bodily fluids, I’ve been protected by this simple mask... go figure.

Same will be true for you, friends. Your 30min walk through Harris Teeter w/ a mask will not test your body to Herculean measures. Full stop. Wear your masks, & please, stop w/ the conspiracies theories. The sooner we do our part, the faster we can get back to a version of normal
