With Mars entering Aries, I've been seeing lots of tweets about wanting to get in shape & I'm here for it! So I thought I'd do a thread on astrology & fitness, & share my personal experience w it. I've been powerlifting for 5 years; started getting physically active 8 years ago.
Mars definitely rules physical activity & fitness.

But I'd also look at the Moon (our bodies, what nourishes us) & the Sun (our vitality, energy).

You don't build muscle in the gym. Lifting weights tears up our muscles. But resting & eating after is what actually builds them.
And let's not forget Saturn! Saturn = discipline & limits. Discipline & consistency are key to getting into a fitness routine. Also, knowing what your limits are so you don't push yourself to a point where you risk injury, burnout.

Saturn can also deal w weight loss.
Fuck it, let's just go through the rest of the planets & how they impact fitness.

Venus = aesthetics, a common reason why people want to exercise.

Jupiter = expansion. Some of you want to exercise for the gainz.

Mercury = communication. It's good to communicate your goals.
As for houses. The following would most directly deal w fitness:

1H = self, body, appearance
5H = hobbies, recreation. So if your goal is fun or trying a new activity, could fit in here
6H = routine, work. But also injury, so be careful
First, get clear on your goals. Run a 5k? Lose/gain weight? Look/feel good? The clearer & more specific, the better.

Then decide what you wanna do to get there & be realistic. Muay thai 2x/week? Run 3x/week to prepare for a 5k in 3 months? Stop eating fast food?
Feel free to elect a time, look at transits & profections, etc. re: starting your workout routine. I didn't elect anything & it still worked out for me.

Astrology can help, but don't let it hold you back or add more anxiety!

Below are inception charts for my fitness journey!
4/3/12: Started women-only boot camp classes 2x/week. Been working out regularly ever since. Just got broken up with, wanted revenge bod.

1H profection year (1H = body), lord of year Venus just entered 2H Gemini

8H profection month, lord of month Jupiter in 1H Taurus
4/7/14: Started CrossFit, which introduced me to lifting. Went 5x/week, got hella fit.

3H Cancer year, LOY Moon in 3H w Jupiter. Moved to HI, so didn't have women's boot camp classes anymore. Realized I need a community to workout; can't do solo workouts.
1/2/15: Realized I love lifting, so I found a powerlifting gym to focus on that. Been training here w my coach & team for 5+ years. Started competing a few months after this.

4H year, LOY Sun in 9H conjunct Pluto, w Mercury & Venus co-present.
8H month, LOM Jupiter was Rx in 4H.
Most common denominator here is activated Jupiter (because gainz?!). Jupiter rules my 11H & I like working out in groups, so.

Mars was Rx in the first 2 charts, which is interesting bc Mars Rx is relatively infrequent. Saturn was also Rx in first 2 charts.
