Yesterday, the @BroadwayLeague announced that they are refunding ticket sales through the end of the year, joining countless regional theatres that have postponed their seasons. Putting the health & safety of workers & audiences first is the right call, but still hard to hear.
Actors' Equity continues to push for relief on all fronts, including for federal support that will help you and your fellow Equity members stay financially stable through this pandemic and ensure that our industry will be ready to reopen when it is safe to do so.
You can take action now and help yourself and your fellow members. Ask your Senators to pass the HEROES Act and extend Pandemic Unemployment Compensation - https://actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-senate-to-extend-pandemic-unemployment-compensation/
Ask your members of Congress to cover the cost of COBRA with the Worker Health Coverage Protection Act - https://actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-congress-theatre-professionals-deserve-health-care/
If you've already signed on to these campaigns, please share them here on social media - we need all the help we can get to pressure Congress to do the right thing and support arts workers!
