I didn& #39;t want to do this. I didn& #39;t. But let& #39;s talk about some double standards. I only have 30 minutes before work, so this might be a thread I start now and continue later. But here& #39;s some neato things you can get on the guild that are A-OK. https://twitter.com/dms_guild/status/1278010478602551296">https://twitter.com/dms_guild...
First up: The succubus calendar! Not only is this not-Guild legal b/c of the extra logo on it, it& #39;s just a porn calendar of succubi! But it& #39;s women, so it& #39;s cool. It& #39;s been up since 2016.
Here& #39;s some fun stock art you can buy. It doesn& #39;t have nipples so it& #39;s fine. (Note, the DMsGuild Creator& #39;s Pack DOES have a water spirit with droplet nipples, but she& #39;s a girl, so it& #39;s also fine.)
These are from an electrum best-seller that was spotlighted in the DMsGuild newsletter. Note that it specifies NOT to show it to children.
Ok, I have to go to work. I haven& #39;t even gotten INTO the art packs that they supply us to use (maybe I& #39;ll go into that later) or the shit like Oriental Adventures that are still for sale on the site. If you want to keep things "teen-friendly" apply it fairly across the board.
Hey, @laura_hirsb went through the creator& #39;s packs so I didn& #39;t have to! Here& #39;s art that the Guild gives you for free to put into your products! It& #39;s official WotC art and recommended for publication usage! All 100% good for the kiddies. https://twitter.com/laura_hirsb/status/1278025080149245953">https://twitter.com/laura_hir...
One final point: I& #39;m not sharing all this stuff to be like "take all this stuff down, it& #39;s bad for the children!" What I& #39;m saying is, if you& #39;re going to make a statement that unclothed figures of one gender are bad, then unclothed figures of EVERY gender are bad.
If Guild content is for kids and teens, then enforce that equally. Why is sexualizing the female form ok and not the male or nonbinary? Why are drugs, alcohol, slavery, sexual assault, racism, horrific violence, degradation, and child endangerment ok for the kiddos?
Removing content like Oliver& #39;s but not the content I posted here and encouraging the use of art that @laura_hirsb posted makes women and LGBTQAI creators feel unwelcome. It& #39;s a double standard and it& #39;s unfair to the kids we& #39;re so desperately protecting.
