So as part of trying to better my mental health, I'm working on being more physically active. Today was my first hike - a short 2.5k loop by the Kananaskis River in the rain to see what I can do. Was pretty nice!
Another hike day. Bit father at 3.5km and much more climbing with a 230m elevation gain. My legs hurt but it was a good walk.

Today's hike was upper and lower Troll Falls. 4.3km round trip with some good steep sections to put in extra work.

Stretching things out with a 6.5km/200m elevation gain hike around Fullerton Loop in Kananaskis. I took the steeper clockwise route and put my work in!

This week has been tough and I'm tired. So instead of a couple hours in the car and a big hike, I stayed in town and had a nice 5k walk at a local park.

I got one hike in while I was on vacation - 6.5km along Okanagan Lake. Was hoping for more, but full days with the kids lakeside was more fun anyways.

A 5.8km round trip hike and what FitBit tells me was 183 flights of stairs and I reached my first summit on Powderface Ridge in Kananaskis!

After coming back down my quads are absolute jello though.

Was aiming for a longer hike but a posted bear warning put a but of hustle in my step and cut my walk short to 4.6km. Was a gorgeous area and I will certainly go back to finish the trails!

Today's hike was a failure. I got lost twice, once climbing a steep trail until I hit a rock face, then once down to the bottom of a valley- so I had to go up hill both ways to get out. Never made it where I was going. I did see a spruce grouse though, so win?
