If this statement strikes you as weird, strange, incorrect or nonsensical, you probably have a very, very skewed view of what policing is, how it should be done, and *who* should be policed
Expanding on this. This isn’t about self defense. We all have that right to use whatever means we have to defend ourselves.

This is about due process. How do you get people to trust your force when your force blatantly runs afoul of the laws/established processes?
You don’t selectively choose to be outraged with the law not working enough for you in one set of cases that primarily involves/implicates a certain demographic/class, and justify flouting it for another case that involves a different demographic.

People see the invisible lines.
