Black men are the ONLY group of people who are always expected to stay calm, respectful & unmoved even when faced with extreme disrespect & no matter how they’re being treated. We’ve allowed all these other groups to treat our men with such violence with no consequenses. -

This is why there is a major lack of accountability in any other groups that aren’t Black men. We’ve let others & ourselves get away with gross mistreatment & dumped all the blame & responsability to our men, while telling them they need to just shut up & take it. -

And yes I think this is mostly on us Black women, because at the end of the day we are responsible for holding ourselves accountable, nobody can do it for us. Also a part of unconditional love is protection & it goes both ways.

We are responsible for our actions & for working on ourselves & growing out of acting from a place of hurt & using that to excuse treating black men like shit. Just like Black men are responsible for not letting this shit fly anymore & establishing boundaries.
