I see all kinds of patterns; the ppl with big platforms who reply to the first 10 replies. The regular folk chatting to friends. Those who watch and hit ‘Like’. Those who tweet with no-one hitting ‘Like’. Those who acknowledge you but don’t follow you.
I am often taken back to
the playground; standing on the periphery with the in-crowd pointing and laughing and saying “look she’s still smiling! What’s wrong with her!? Ha ha ha” and each time I’d shrivel a bit more.
And yet, here I am, again, standing around watching and smiling and crying. Wanting to be liked whilst at the same time not caring.
It’s so unhealthy here for me but I can’t seem to leave!
The bullied child still watches, unsure, but now the grown-up me holds her hand #Autistic
