It’s my last day with @orgtogethernc and I’m feeling pretty ~sentimental~ which feels like the right cause for a #thread.
Thanks for indulging me on how much we learned working, organizing and building 100% remotely, and (I’m biased) amazing NC-based team that we built.

I've been in Org. for the better part of 10 yrs at this point — knocking, opening offices, voter reg, recruiting volunteers: In NH, @CoryBooker got on the ballot at a very cold rally, & met voters at a variety of other events.
But organizing remotely was a completely new beast.

First — I couldn’t have done it without an amazing team -- our volunteers, the 54 NC organizers and 7 RODs plus my 2 DODs and the full organizing-obsessed Organizing Together NC team. THANK YOU to each and every one of you.
Speaking of volunteers, part of what was surprising for me (but in a great way!) in this new virtual organizing world, was how hungry folks were to get involved (tech issues be damned), and get involved NOW. There could not be more at stake in 2020, and people were SHOWING UP.
As we learned our way around zoom, started to register voters online (new in NC this spring!) and hosted our first virtual phonebanks and VR events, they kept coming back week after week, to do the work needed to hold Trump accountable.
Next: our organizers were creative, resilient, eager to learn & badass. I learned from every single one of you, & couldn’t be prouder of the team we built together.
Each of you is going to go on an accomplish so many AMAZING things in NC & beyond, & I can't wait to see it.

For us, the most important work was organizing and the most important team members were the organizers -- doing the hard work on the ground (virtually) everyday. This happened thanks to the full support of the full Organizing Together NC team.
They were amazingly supportive, provided a wealth of knowledge & experience, and most of all: the org team’s biggest cheerleaders. Thank u @annakatgil @braxtonbrew96, @thelexiness, @chelchelsays, @alexisheebz, @hslovut, @TonyEspinozaWV, @jakefield14 @AnatoleJenkins & many others
So thank you again!! Can't wait to keep organizing, alongside many of you again soon. LET'S WIN THIS THING IN NORTH CAROLINA AND ELECT A NEW PRESIDENT.
P.S. Just to wrap up one quick loose end: our trivia judging skills had some data accuracy issues. I will be working with our operations team to adjust accordingly before signing off today BECAUSE THERE ARE 2 PRESIDENT JOHNSON'S SO U NEED TO LIST FIRST & LAST NAME. that is all
