what’s happening in the philippines?

currently the country has a number of 37,000 covid cases WITHOUT MASS TESTING, millions of filipinos are unemployed because of the pandemic and the government isn’t doing anything to help them not starve to death. the country’s debt rose up

9 trillion and we honestly have no idea where this money went to. The Police are arresting activists and protesters without stating their violations AND DESPITE FOLLOWING SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES. Sex workers were being taken advantage of by the cops themselves in exchange of

food and money, innocent lives have been gunned down by the police themselves. The president ordered shoot-to-kill & threatened his own people, lifted the quarantine in metro manila despite the fact that the cases are still rising up.

And what’s his response for all of these?

No solid plan. Put all of his attention on shutting down the media and those who talk against him. Implementing a law to silence criticisms and arrest protesters without warrant.

Thousands of lives have been taken by this tyrant alone, excusing and justifying these murders by saying those who were killed were “drug addicts”.

honestly this sorry excuse of a president has done shit loads of stuff since he was elected in 2016 and i can’t even LIST THEM ALL IF I TRIED. the country is going through so many things right now and it’s really overwhelming at this point
