A reminder to new writers trying to break into selling short fiction. SFFH editors *love* finding new writers they love and publishing their first story. It's a real coup for them.

Don't believe me? Read on!
Finding a new writer is really something for them to brag about. Doesn't take too much to publish ye olde known quantity. You must convince them to submit to you first, and you have to reject them if you don't like their story, which can be hard if you have been pursuing them +
But finding a new writer whose work you love is all joy to an short fiction editor. It takes skill, dedication, and a lot of judgement and perseverance. When it happens, it's like hitting a vein of gold. +
Submitting short fiction can be really discouraging. But please take heart. You may end up being the writer an editor brags about discovering, who becomes one of their favorites, and are a career accomplishment to cherish. <3
Oh god, the grammar in this thread is appalling. In my defense, I'm high on migraine meds. :D
