Of course, the Maghribi script family continues to be a living tradition, so let's follow up with a 🧵on contemporary typefaces (please reply with others you know of):
First has to be @laurameseguer's stunning Qandus, a "Typographic Maghribi Trialogue"

Another brilliant maghribi typeface is @TPTQArabic's Hudhud by @emForMaha & @KristyanSarkis which looks quite Andalusi in the thin weights but more like a fluid مجوهر style in thicker weights, with a definite Naskh influence

An earlier Maghribi style which many credit as the 1st unique to the area is Kairouani Kufic, which @MamounSakkal pays homage to with his Bustan typeface:

A couple revival Maghribi typefaces are:
Aisha by @tntype in 4 weights, a refresh of Marcel LeGrand's French typeface https://tntypography.eu/projects/aisha/
The calligraphic 'Rabat' https://www.arfonts.net/f:rabat  by Youssef Jabri who also works on Arabic TeX typesetting https://www.tug.org/TUGboat/tb27-2/tb87jabri.pdf

There's much more potential w Maghribi typefaces though, esp to represent indigenous languages using Arabic script. The only example I've found is @JamraPatel's https://kigelia-font.com/  a multiscript family designed esp to support African languages.
