Since it's the last day of #PrideMonth , Twitter, may I present to you...

Lady Gaga as Particle Physics Experiments: A Thread.

First up is @ALICEexperiment, studying strongly interacting matter at extreme energy densities, where a phase of matter called Quark-Gluon Plasma forms.
Next we have Lady Gaga as the Antiproton Decelerator: a machine that produces a slow beam of antiprotons which can be combined with positrons to form antihydrogen atoms!

A number of experiments at @CERN use the AD to study #antimatter and its properties.

Here is Lady Gaga as @ATLASexperiment, one of the two experiments that discovered the Higgs Boson in 2012. ATLAS is now searching through its vast stack of data for any hints of new physics that could describe Dark Matter or any more of the universe's mysteries.
And here's Lady Gaga as @CMSExperiment, the other half of the Higgs discovery duo. CMS is also working hard at poking the Standard Model of Particle Physics to see where it might break.
Not technically an experiment but the Large Hadron Collider, the world's highest energy particle accelerator, definitely deserves to be in this thread. The #LHC at @CERN is a 27km-long underground tunnel that accelerates protons to almost the speed of light!
The fourth of the four large LHC experiments, here is Lady Gaga as @LHCbExperiment! LHCb is a highly specialised detector designed to investigate rare decays of hadrons. Those yellow "ruffles" are LHCb's giant magnet!
Skipping over to Germany, here's Lady Gaga as the main spectrometer of KATRIN! KATRIN is working on nailing down the mass of the neutrino to unprecedented precision!

Over at @Fermilab, the Muon g-2 (say gee minus two) experiment studies the way muons behave in a magnetic field as they go round and round in the storage ring.

Meanwhile here's Lady Gaga as the PHENIX experiment at @BrookhavenLab! PHENIX studies the hot, dense matter formed in the collisions of heavy ions (like gold), to learn more about the strong force, which binds quarks and gluons together into hadrons.

And of course we have Lady Gaga as #ProtoDUNE, a 10x10x10m cube filled with more than 700 tons of Liquid Argon! The ProtoDUNEs are the (small!) prototype detectors for @DUNEScience which is currently under construction at @Fermilab and @SanfordLab.
And last, but not least, we have Lady Gaga as SNO+ at @SNOLABscience in Canada. SNO+ is an underwater bubble-like sphere filled with special liquid designed to search for neutrinoless double beta decay, which will help us discover if a neutrino is its own anti-particle.
