One last thought for the night. On a platform known for people saying whatever pops into their heads, there are many positions I hold I don't share and opinions on tweets I do not give in reply or quote tweets.

I know it is not worth it to air them, so I do not do so.

Some of the positions run against popular thought in my circles, but mostly it comes down to this question: am I able, especially on Twitter, to fully explain why I hold this view in a nuanced way before being misunderstood, attacked, re-tweeted, etc.

If I think the answer is yes, I reply, quote tweet, do a thread, whatever.

If the answer is no, I remain silent. Usually it's just small thoughts.

But a few opinions I hold in this category are rather significant.

And, no, sorry, I know I have made some of you curious, but I won't be revealing what those opinions are. That would run counter to the entire point of this thread.
