Taking oral iron is really difficult due to GI side effects & limited absorption.

I can’t help but wonder if we’d have invented a better way if men had to take iron as much as women do...🤔

What do you tell your patients on oral iron to make the process easier?
I’ve talked to so many patients who quit iron therapy because it’s so difficult to tolerate.

When I’ve been told to take it, the instructions from my clinicians rarely acknowledge these challenges.

It’s so important to bridge the gap between what we “should do” vs CAN do.
