If Trump hires black people, queers and women on his campaign team and they do an amazing job at getting him re-elected, are we allowed to still criticize Trump or does the hiring of the marginalized suddenly exonerate him? Are those critiquing Trump invalidating the subaltern?

I’m asking this question for a very specific reason. Because I can be happy for the people he hired as they need employment and are able to shine and show their talent as POC etc. I may still call out Trump on his problematic behavior and that isn’t invalidating the subaltern

I need us to stop thinking in binaries, life is not black and white. Please use your critical thinking skills. Question and challenge everything. You can love someone and still disagree with them or some of the things they do. But y’all think in yes or no, it’s tired beloveds
