The attack such as yesterday can never be justified. Nobody is supporting such attacks. But there is definitely a background to it and this is where the state has failed. 1/n
Since the early 2000's, the groups that promoted separatist movements were in minority and the majority of the province wanted autonomy within the federal framework. The people wanted to respect the socioeconomic rights of the Baloch. 2/n
And it is only because of the state's repressive responses to such movements that further radicalized the region consisting of nationalist movements. These movements are divided in different factions asking for autonomy which cannot be attained through separation from Pak. 3/n
The conflict can never end because of the absurdity of this repression that continuously reinstates the threat that it wishes to eliminate. However the tactics have only added fuel to the ethnic tensions in the province. 4/n
And also the further Islamization of the province has further escalated the radicalism in the province. It has not just happened in a day... It's a long process of repressive tactics by the security establishment and the state. 5/n
It is obvious that every nation is against separatist movements, and same is with Pakistan..but since the beginning of the conflict, these were less than 10% which has now increased exponentially which clearly shows how these tactics had been a complete failure.
