10 Times Tae-Eul Felt Her Axis Shift For Lee Gon and 1 Time His Did #coreastories #coreafiction
1. He had beautiful eyes. He was vain about them. But she had eyes and his had stunned her a little the first time he turned them on her.
2. He didn't lie to her. He never lied. Even to fit in. Even to escape lockup. He didn't care that she thought he was nuts. He told the truth. And left it up to her to believe him. Didn't force her.
3. He could fight but didn't show off. He was breathtakingly efficient, in fact. No showy moves. Only effective attacks with that riding crop. And he only intervened when that scum was about to attack her back. He didn't defend her when she didn't need it.
4. He listened to her. Truly listened without planning his own replies. He was flustered when she asked him what kind of king he was. And she'd said she was cold while questioning his sanity, but he remembered that detail and gave her his coat.
5. He wasn't shy about admiring her, touching her, holding her. Because he never had bad intentions, and never cared about how pathetic he sounded. He had complete confidence in himself and moved and spoke without any pretensions.
6. She thought she'd be bored out of her mind when he spoke to the mathematicians but he only told those young guns to clean their rooms, spend time with people, and sleep. When he was trying to explain the parallel worlds to her, he was truly trying to explain, not showing off.
7. He was king and chief commander of the Kingdom of Corea, and he was soft for the old woman who raised him, and for her.
8. He could cook. He could shoot hoops. He could fix cars. He could ride a horse. He could fight. She beat him at the shooting arcade and he was adorably miffed about it.
9. She loved how tall he was and how he tucked her in his arm. Before that, the look of honest surprise on his face when she placed his arm around her. Not smugness or awareness of what a package he was. Surprise. She liked that she could stun him.
10. She loved that he ran to her when she called him. Would he always do that? Always look at her as if she was the sum total of his existence? What had she done to earn that unshifting, admiring gaze?
1. He met her. Slowly and reverently picked up bits and pieces of her she allowed him to see and have. And she was much more amazing than he'd ever imagined.
